Effective August 15, 2012, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) began accepting applications for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals. 某些人, who meet specific guidelines, can request deferred action from USCIS and may be eligible for work authorization.

The criteria for consideration for deferred action include:

• Was under the age of 31 as of June 15, 2012
• Came to the United States before reaching 16th birthday;
• Has continuously resided in the United States since June 15, 2007, up to the present time;
• Was physically present in the United States on June 15, 2012, and at the time of making request for consideration of deferred action with USCIS
• Entered without inspection before June 15, 2012, or lawful immigration status expired as June 15, 2012
• 目前在上学, has graduated or obtained a certificate of completion from high school, has obtained a general education development (GED) certificate, or is an honorably discharged veteran of the Coast Guard or Armed Forces of the United States

美国.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will accept the following documentation for the above criteria:

• School records (transcripts, report cards, etc.) from the school currently attending or attended, showing the name(s) of the school(s) and periods of school attendance and the current educational or grade level.
• U.S. high school diploma or certificate of completion;

The District can provide an 招收ment History Report to students applying for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals. The 招收ment History Report provides the following information that could be used in support of the criteria required by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

To request an 招收ment History Report complete a Deferred Action 招收ment History Request Form. To obtain the form enter your date of birth in the fields below. There is no fee for 招收ment History Reports.

Include a copy of valid photo identification. The 只有 forms of acceptable identification by the 长滩 Unified School District, 档案管理处 are; any state Department of Motor vehicles Identification Card, 驾照, 领事我.D. 或护照.

If you do not have a valid state issued ID, send a copy of any of your 长滩 Unified School District Student I.D. with a copy of your birth certificate.
